奇幻片《败国王子之落难记》是由廖韋卓 臧天朔 亞丁人為主演主要講述了:StuartGordon,consideredamasterofthehorrorgenrethankstoclassicslikeRe-AnimatorandDagon,decidestodoadifferentmoveinthisstrangetriptohumanmorals."KingoftheAnts"isaboutaregularguy,SeanCrawley(newcomerChrisMcKenna),amanwithoutanyaspirationwhojustliveinhisapartmentdoingthenecessaryjobtolivetothenextday.InoneofhisjobshemeetsDuke(GeargeWendt),whointroducesSeantohisboss,RayMatthews(playedbyDanielBaldwin).RayhiresSeanasaspy,andordershimtofollowEricGatlin(RoyLivingstone),anaccountantwhohasbeeninvestigatingRay'scompany.ProblemsstartwhenRay,whiledrunk,ordersSeantokillEric.Andhedoesit.ThingsgowrongwhenRaydecidestomakeSeandisappeardestroyinghismindwithviolentpunishmentandhumiliation.FromthepointwhereSeankillsEric,wegointhesameboatwithhim,ashegoesthroughadownwardspiralofhumandegradation,travelingfromguilt,toconfusionandfinallytohisrebirth,inastatewherehumanity,moralsandvaluesarenotimportantanymore.ChrisMcKennaactingisveryimportantbecausehemanagestobelikableevenwhenheispartofgruesomeacts,bothasvictimand/orcriminal.Hehasthatlookofinnocencethathidesadarksideandhemanagestocarrythefilm.ThesupportcastalsoincludesKariWuhrer,asEric'swidowwhoalsobecomesacentralpartofSean'striptohell.Shegivesafineperformance,althoughit'sobviousthatSeanisthemaincharacter.HeisthemostdevelopedofallandMcKenna'sperformanceisuptothechallenge.Thefilmhasverydisturbingimagesofviolence,andwhileitmaynotbeasgraphicas"KillBill"forexample,thestrengthoftheviolenceisinthelackofhumanitythatthecharactermanifest.Heismorethananantinthisworld.Heistheking.StuartGordonhasmanagedtocreateafilmthat,whilemaybeit'snotoneofhisbestefforts;it'sverywelldone,hasaVERYinterestingstorytotell,andmanagestocapturetheattentioneverysecondofit.
